Eu gosto de filmes de super heróis. É legal quando alguem consegue passar pra tela todo a magia, a fantasia e os poderes que envolvem um personagem desse. Alguns conseguem ser bem sucedidos como Homem de Ferro, Homem Aranha e Batman, e outros nem tanto como Hulk, Quarteto Fantástico e outros.
O caso é que Joe Johnston foi contratado pra dirigir o filme de um dos super heróis mais controvérsos dos quadrinhos: esse ai de cima, o Capitão América. O cara já ocupou a função em Jurassic Park III, Jumanji e Querida, encolhi as crianças, além de ter uma larga experiência com efeitos visuais onde já conquistou um Oscar por Os Caçadores da Arca Perdida.
O filme se passará durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial e mostrará o surgimento do herói desde a infância até a transformação no super soldado.
Pra quem não lembra First Avenger: Captain America será lançado dois meses antes de Os Vingadores, filme da equipe de heróis da Marvel que tem o bandeiroso como líder.
O filme tem estréia prevista para 6 de Maio de 2011 e ainda não foi escolhido um ator pra viver o herói.
